How it works

How Run It works

I play PDGA events, and I built Run It because I kept showing up to courses I'd never played with no idea what a good round there looked like. Link your PDGA number and the app pulls in your PDGA history. Most of what's below runs off that.

Before the event

Tournament Insights shows your projected finish in any event before you sign up, and it's all free.

Course Insights gives you an expected score on any course and what players near your rating shoot there. It's personalized from your scoring history and built from tournament play, so OBs and pressure mistakes are already in the number. A casual round with your buddies at the same course usually scores better.

Then make a Game Plan for the course and layout you're playing. It sorts every hole from Run It to Damage Control, which tells you where to go for it and where to take par and move on. A free account gets 2 active plans.

During

During DGPT and Major events the app has the leaderboard and the storylines behind it: who leads, under par streaks, the biggest climb and the lowest round. If your event is scoring live, it has a board too, in Tournament Insights under Live board. Both boards are free.

After

Tournament Review takes your event hole by hole against your division and against the score the app expected from you. That's where you see which holes you played well and which ones cost you strokes. Free covers your newest 2 events.

Your rating alone can't tell you what you'll shoot on a specific course. I wrote up what the prediction uses instead: How Run It predicts your score
