What’s new since mid September

What shows up during a tour event?

During DGPT and Major events, Home has a card with who’s leading and by how much. It stays up between rounds with the next tee time and shows the winner when it’s over.

Tap Open the board for the full leaderboard. It refreshes itself during the round and shows how many places each player has moved since the round began. The leader’s chance to win is free. Pro adds everyone else’s chance, projected finishes and a race chart that shows the holes that matter. Pro also has What They Need, each contender’s chance to win for every score they could shoot the rest of the day.

Most of the rest of the screen is free. Storylines calls out the lead, under par streaks, the biggest climb and the lowest round and you can share a streak as an image. How the Holes Are Playing compares each hole with what this field normally scores there. If you’re at the event, flip On the course to see when the cards reach the hole you’re waiting at.

Once a round starts the tour screen leads with the field. Tap “How would you do here?” above the board to see where you’d land against the pro rounds on the same layout. It’s free and a rating saved in your profile works if you don’t have a PDGA number.

The Powerball Cup is on this weekend if you want to check it out.

What changed for my own tournaments?

Tap Share my tournament in Tournament Review and you can save up to 4 images of your event to Photos: standings and scorecard, how it unfolded, round by round, and scoring. They’re made to post together as one Instagram carousel. Round by Round moved up and shows your round ratings, like “Rated 962”. The win race chart for your event shows the holes that matter.

Where You Stand on the Analyze tab shows how your PDGA rating stacks up against rated players who played a PDGA event in the last 12 months and against your division.

Player profiles now show your head to head record against that player across the events you’ve both played. Each event goes to whoever had the higher average round rating. Pro adds career totals, recent form and your shared events side by side.

What about Game Plans and Course Insights?

Game Plans notice when PDGA posts or changes a round’s layout and offer Update round. Nothing changes until you tap it. If you register in a new division, your plan offers to move with you. On a tournament game plan, the hole planner and Perform now say what each score is worth against the field, like “A birdie here gains 0.6 strokes on the field.”

Course Insights has a new chart of every hole’s odds at your rating. The locked Level-Up holes are Pro, and a free account now gets one free look.
